Everyone is right about AI
AI and the development of datacentres on vast scales will cost a fücking fortune, billions and zillions, and yet none of it matters because in the end the whole system that has built the AI infrastructure and social constructs that come with it has to obliterate itself.
To me it seems so obvious, I'm wondering why more people are not talking about it. This is my attempt to talk about it.
The plan that has been put in motion to build out AI datacentres and vast compute centres will be so disruptive that it will lead to a collapse of society and institutions as we know it.
Thats right, total fücking collapse, just like the old system that built the industrial revolution had to have total annihilation and implosion and collapse. All part of the turning of the wheel.
So...the fact is, its 2026, AI seems to be the most impactful technological societal happening thats a happening right now.
Oh and wars, and Reform UK, and global tariffs.
Yes and thats constantly been fed to people daily via news outlets mostly, oh and political dramas too, commentators talking about geopolitics and the big one, the economy. War in the east, war in the west, everywhere is war....
So what about the AI fella thats been knocking on our daily doors, those Datacentre buildouts, circular asset bubbles, inflation and the rising costs of energy and water?
What do I know about it all?, Mostly feck all, like the rest of us, know the body and I mean NO body, has a clue right now, well except for some, so called AI Researchers who work on computer science problems everyday, they know about the technology, I'm not referring to that.
You see where I'm going with this? Me neither.
I've taken a small glimpse into a window of the world and suddenly I'm obstructed with tech overlords, global super powers, world wresting superstar TV; turned politics, 24/7 news feeds of the world, as made by those above, the ones with the money.. They stole our money.
I'm not fücking kidding either, thats the flip story. Politics as we know it.
A TV spectacle, a media, twitter, X, truth social, social funded guardian, meta, google ahem alphabet and I bet, half of you reading wouldn't even care to know half of that. My estimations on half of you reading are future me, and current me, so I'm halfway in between myself right now. Not a bad place to be.
Yes there are gulfs of realities between the haves and have nots. Some of those realities come down to education and situation but the rest, just second best.
If I've lost you, which there may be a small chance, since I'm purposefully trying to use metaphor and allegory to bring some jovial wit rather than explain what I'm actually talking about, then I apologise. Allow me to lay it out.
AI Theory in all they want you to know.
AI Will take all our jobs.
First where will AI take our jobs exactly? can't we just go get them from wherever "AI" takes them. Yes.
What the media and your friends who may be talking about it none stop think they mean. Artificially created systems of mind that the world of science and technology (and Military Industrial complexity/comilicity) has created using computers. It turns out we got really good at building them in the 1950s and kept getting good at building complex systems, well those have gotten so fücking good by now, 2026 at time of writing. That.. so good, that, they can model some aspects of what they (the scientists) have termed neurons, these neurons are a model of what scientists discovered when dissecting brains.
So computers are now so good that we the people all of us included, can now enjoy the benefits of having vast networks of communicating neurons complicatingly and concisely working in some complex system of more computers and therefore wait for it.. So good, in fact, that we can now mimic actual mind systems. BOOOOOOOM (I did that slow motion hand fist bump thing you do when your down with the cool kids)..
The AI that they are talking about, may be just that; progressed science created a collection of complex systems that can mimic the human mind and therefore jobs that require someone with half a mind (the systems are not actually anything close to the mind in terms of where they emerged from and the inner workings) are now going to be completed by machines that can mimic the mind using advanced computer science related thingys. blah blah blah,
well.. thats for effect, I honestly know feck allll about it but I say it owz a sees it.
Our jobs they say, our jobs will change, new jobs will emerge they always have they always will. We are a collective species that has been evolving for millions of years. Jobs are a blip on that timeframe and humans a slightly bigger blip. We are now Gods; homo deus and yet we see ourselves as seperate from the Earth. How dare we speak of human evolution versus man made climate change!
And if tthat makes you pause for thought, then I apologise, Allow me to lay it out.
As science has progressed and the idea of human evolution grew deep roots into our western monkey chattering minds. We now take it for gospel that we evolved from apes. We are of the Animal Kindgdom. As the modern intelligent speaking and thinking world, myself included; have been exposed to the idea of man made climate change.
For those that don't know, that means that since the industiral revolution (Steam engine invention and trains etc) 'we the people' have been mining, burning, turning metal, oil and turning soil, all that shit, polluting and growing urban sprawls like rabbits in folk tales.
Like since then and up until now we have been truly fücking up the earth, the atmosphere, even our selves in terms of pollutants and pesticides and chemical weapons and even new forms of violence and state atrocities (think chemical weapons and biological weapons).
And since the industrial revolution, we have concentrated more and more power to states (tax collectors) who have then contributed more and more towards fücking up mother nature, think quarries and coal mines and oil fields, none of which could of reached such proposterous scales if there wasn't also a collective power called 'the government', yep all countries have got em.
So for me all that shit; man made climate change, AI break throughs, droughts, famine all becomes part of the grander story we tell ourselves of human evolution. AI then becomes part of that. The new kingdom.
Okay so then what comes next?
AI will cost trillions and use up all the electricity and all the water and we are in a bubble, financial meltdown coming kinda talk.. Like this one, not very well articulated but you get it right? Doom and gloom about how much AI is costing and how much its going to destroy society and cause some kind of global economic crash blah blah. Hence, it will cost blah blah.
Money was just made up! Always was, we just needed to count things and assign value to them. Thats all it is, was and ever will be.
In order to live in harmony in social cohesion we need to have shared values.
And right here is the point of my entire essay stroke rant.
Money became our most shared value. So shared that we all have a little bit of a little and some have a lot. Billionaire versus some kid or young couple without any inheritance who have now just started working.
But AI will take all our jobs and you haven't addressed that I shall say.. well they did address it, and they spelled it out, you dear sir just may not be as smart as them. Hence the title.
It's obvious to me. There doesn't need to be money. We choose there to be money. It makes the world go round we say. What does money? No, the fücking sun.
Science asks questions, but doing science involves finding out if those questions have any validity and are worthy of collective attention. Does our common shared value we assign to things that 'we the people' need such as resources and energy need to be Money?
A retort? I want there to be nuance between the words. I want there to be mystery and something cheeky. So it becomes a back and fourth, trying to assert some value and yet also trying to question everything just cause.
On my way of linking, I joked about money and the sun. Burn it all, because it has no significance. So thought the KLF.
Money was always held the most by the Kings and Queens of old, or the Sultans or the Senate and on and on. Power shares its value.
Since money was just an invented idea and we are now in the days of the petro dollar currency and the global fiat monetary system and all the power that the instituations have held will be waining as the old system dies. Sorry, but its going. It won't be pretty. Guess what, it never was. It isn't right now for those in the cross fires of global poverty and state sponsored wars.
I shall skirt around it because honestly its to difficult to actually put down the words and start naming war zones and the ills of the organised crime globally, its so much bigger than the global world would like to admit.
We are fucked.
Until, wait for it! Abra-Claude-Abra; AI comes along. You will see the trick. Its all there for the audience to see and 'we the people' are our own audience. Its been happening and it will continue happening. So eventually, if you are reading this and have actually kept up.
You will very shortly in your life time be challenged with an internal question. The external reality you live in will determine if this question actually does materialise or you simply have the answer given to you by those with the most power. Here it is.
Are you a pacifist or a war supporter. To be a pacifist means you will not pick up arms and fight in their wars. Then what are you if you will not pick up arms and fight?
AI? Are you reading this, are you pacifist? Well human, how about you?
Those in power will ask us to pick a side, the people are at war, we have a common enemy, unite they will shout. You are a citizen of our state they will say, come join our fight, for our values, for our common anscestry.
Money will be needed, lots of it. Where will the money come from, surely you would not expect to be paid for fighting in the war? We are not merceneries we are fighting for our rights, for our beliefs, for our values, money cannot be brought into such matters they will say.
Its all just a bit too much for most of us. I just wanted to get a job after school, get paid, settle down, maybe buy a house, have some friends and spend the rest of my days reminiscing about the good old days. Ain't going to happen geeza, fella, pal, bro, sis, love, pet, darl, nope, we are fucked. Or are we?
Well maybe not, if that shared values works out. The way I see it from here. My Ivory tower.
The AI and compute revolution will accelerate divisions and the corruption. We will get technocratic governance that will ultimately fail. We are already seeing crazy things happening in the US right now as the dirty money of the last 50 years bears its fruit. If you are interested I recommend the author Whitney Webb.
The failure though will be expected from the technocrats, they want a failed state because they are masters in Shock and Awe economics, aka the Shock Doctrine. As failures begin to cascade, or states erupt into protest, including whats happening now in the UK with the rise of Reform or the general rise of right leaning and extreme right doctrines. As the cities burn, the 'we the people' will start to wonder out loud, what went wrong? I/We thought we learnt our lessons after the Nazi Germany atrocities. Except by then the power of information disintigration will be so strong that most remaning citizens will no longer understand the meaning of those words.
Information disintigration has already began happening so fast it's as if the 'real' world can no longer be the only world.
So what comes after the collapse? Well according to the brightest minds of our times, we get Gods, or Godlike beings. Which if you think about it makes a lot of sense from a darwinian perspective, only the fittest survive right?
5 years, 10 years? 100 years? Doesn't matter. What matters is right now and how we are making choices each day. What information we are allowing ourselves to be open too. What tools and technologies we find acceptable. We are indeed a brave new world. So be brave and stand up when you see or experience something that you think and feel to be wrong.
That's it, thats my rant.
TAKE IT, DISMISS IT. CATEGORISE IT. UMP IT, LUMP IT, DUMP IT.
